Fall in Love with EAPS – Course 12 Undergrad Recruiting Event

Date: Wednesday, February 12, 2025 Time: 5:00 - 6:30pm Location: 54-915 | MIT Campus, Cambridge, MA

First-year students! You are cordially invited to “Fall in Love with EAPS”

We’re hosting a valentine-themed event to provide undergraduates the opportunity to mingle with EAPS students and hear more about opportunities to in the Course 12 major and related minor programs.

We will have hot chocolate, cookies to decorate, rocks to paint, and Valentine’s Day cards to make.

The Course 12 undergraduate major and minor programs are highly interdisciplinary, data-driven, and hands-on, with ample opportunity for specialization in earth science, astronomy and planetary science, climate, atmospheres and oceans, or environmental science. Many of our classes go beyond the lab, offering opportunities to study in the field at sites near and far.

Whether collecting samples in the field or building models and experiments in the lab, you’ll be investigating the interconnected systems that shape the Earth and distant planets—with profound implications for the sustainable use of the world’s resources, the health of the planet, and the exploration of space. In the process, you’ll develop quantitative and analytical skills transferable to any discipline as you pursue your degree and build a career.

And, through the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP), students in EAPS have ample opportunity to work alongside faculty conducting significant research. We also offer a distinctive Fifth-Year Master of Science degree program.

We look forward to exploring the possibilities with you!
